I dance, illustrate write and design.
What drives me
Before I became a UX Designer, I completed a three-year professional training program in contemporary dance. This was one of the most insightful experiences I could have made.
I studied humans.
Their expressions, their needs and aspirations, health and definition of meaning… I was researching every day.
I drew people since Kindergarden - they were all I had on my mind.
Even when their arms and legs where still directly attached to their large egg-shaped heads.
Why faces? Faces are symbols for human complexity. Imperfect, but with their own beauty. Wise, broken, emotional, intelligent, blocked, expressive, spiritual, childish, ... It's always going to be a mix of different things.
PORTRAIT AT AGE 3
People with all their face(t)s are my fascination.
PORTRAIT AT AGE 11
I've never stopped studying.
I am aware now that people have a torso, alongside a few other things. But there’s always more research to be done.
To me, UX is a direct, practical, solution-oriented, grounded craft benefitting people in their complexity, by understanding complex needs and finding a simple solution.
PORTRAIT 2022
Today, I direct my people-fascination by designing experiences and products that are truly helpful and engaging for actual real humans.
By applying human-centered design.
That’s what drives me.
I am currently available for work.
